Functions

  • Uniconazole is a broad-spectrum and highly effective plant growth regulator that has both bactericidal and herbicidal effects.
  • It is an inhibitor of gibberellin synthesis. It has the function of controlling nutrient growth, inhibiting cell elongation, shortening internodes, dwarfing plants, promoting lateral bud growth and flower bud formation, and enhancing stress resistance.
  • Its activity is 6-10 times higher than that of paclobutrazol, but its residual amount in soil is only 1/10 of paclobutrazol, so its impact on subsequent crops is small.
  • It can be absorbed by seeds, roots, shoots, and leaves, and can circulate between organs, but leaf absorption has less outward movement. Clearly oriented towards the top.

Applications

Suitable for rice and wheat, it can increase tillering, control plant height, and improve lodging resistance. It can also be used to control the nutritional growth of fruit trees, as well as for ornamental plants to control plant shape, promote flower bud differentiation, and increase flowering.

Matters needing attention

  • When used in combination with growth promoters and potash fertilizers, it is beneficial to increase yield.
  • The dosage and period of use must be strictly controlled. When treating seeds, the land should be leveled, the seeds should be sown shallowly and the soil should be covered shallowly to ensure good soil moisture.
  • It is not advisable to soak damaged or sprouted inferior rice seeds with Uniconazole. After soaking, the seeds should be germinated and sown after all the buds have sprouted to facilitate germination.
