Functions

Prohexadione Calcium is a novel plant growth retardant. Prohexadione Calcium can shorten the stem elongation of many plants. It works through foliar treatment, and compared with the widely used triazole growth retardants, Prohexadione Calcium has no residual toxicity to crop rotation plants and no pollution to the environment. Therefore, it may replace triazole growth retardants and has a wide range of application prospects. The main physiological functions of Prohexadione Calcium include promoting fertility, reducing lodging, promoting lateral bud growth and rooting, keeping stems and leaves dark green, controlling flowering time, increasing fruit setting rate, and promoting fruit ripening. It also has the ability to enhance plant resistance to diseases, cold and drought, reduce herbicide damage, and improve plant stress resistance.

Prohexadione Calcium can significantly shorten the stem height of all rice cultivars. Simultaneously, it has the effect of promoting grain development and increasing rice yield. Low dose Prohexadione Calcium has significant anti lodging and dwarfing properties in regulating the growth of rice, barley, wheat, Japanese carpet grass ryegrass, cotton, sugar beet, cucumber, and turf. The anti lodging effect on rice (including regenerated rice) is significant, and the growth inhibition effect on lawns is significant. The effect is obvious at low doses, and even complete inhibition can be achieved at higher doses.

Matters needing attention

  • Prohexadione Calcium has a short half-life and fast degradation, and after standardized and reasonable use, crops will not suffer from phytotoxicity.
  • Do not use land with weak growth potential due to lack of fertilizer and drought.
  • It should be sprayed on clear and windless weather. If it rains 6 hours after spraying, it can be sprayed at half the amount.
  • Before promoting this product on a large scale, please conduct a trial demonstration first.
  • Storage should be in plastic or ceramic containers, sealed and kept cool, and should not be mixed with food.
  • During use, avoid splashing the original solution into the eyes and contact with the skin.
