Matters needing attention

  • Cytokinin 6-BA has poor mobility and is not effective when used alone as a foliar spray. It must be mixed with other growth inhibitors.
  • Cytokinin 6-BA is effective when used alone as a green leaf fresh-keeping agent, but it is more effective when mixed with gibberellins.
  • When cytokinin 6-BA and gibberellins are used together, 6-BA must be dissolved in dilute hydrochloric acid, otherwise the efficacy of gibberellins will be affected.
