Freshly harvested rice seeds often have poor germination potential and are not uniform. Improper storage conditions for rice seeds will also hinder seed germination, affect the seedling rate, and increase the amount of seeds used. Treating rice seeds with growth regulators before sowing can stimulate the seeds to enhance metabolism, promote germination and rooting, increase germination rate and germination potential, and lay the foundation for cultivating strong seeds.
1.S-ABA
S-ABA is used for rice seed soaking treatment, which has the effects of enhancing germination potential, improving germination rate, promoting rooting and seedling growth, and promoting and enhancing plant resistance.
Select seeds with high purity, high germination rate, strong germination potential, uniformity, and fullness, dry them for 2~3 days before sowing, use 0.3~0.4mg/L S-ABA solution, soak the seeds for 24~48h, and the temperature is about 15~20℃. The seeds can germinate when the water absorption reaches 40% of the seed weight, and sow them after rinsing with clean water. While soaking seeds, it can be mixed with other fungicides such as Carbendazim and Chlorothalonil to achieve the purpose of disease prevention.
2. Sodium Nitrophenolate (ATONIK)
ATONIK has a wide range of uses. It can promote seed germination and rooting and break dormancy by soaking seeds; it can be used for seedbed spraying to cultivate strong seedlings and improve the survival rate after transplanting; it can be used for leaf spraying to promote metabolism; spraying during flowering can prevent flowers from falling, increase yield, improve quality and harvest early.
Rice seeds are soaked in 1.8% ATONIK 6000 times liquid, that is, 5ml in 30L water for 12h. Sowing after cloudy days can increase the seed germination rate, and the buds are strong and the roots are thick and neat, which promotes the germination of seeds to achieve the effect of fast, uniform and strong. Seeds treated with ATONIK can germinate more than 1d earlier, the tillering in the nursery field is significantly increased compared with the control, and the quality of the seedlings is good.
3.Naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA)
Soaking seeds with 160mg/L NAA solution for 12h can increase the number, root weight and root length of rice adventitious roots, improve the germination rate and vitality index of rice seeds with different vitality, and increase tillering and yield. Since NAA is very water-soluble, high-content NAA has better physiological effects.
4.Enadenines and hydroxyenadenines
Enadenines and hydroxyenadenines are used for soaking and spraying of rice, soybeans and corn, which play a role in regulating growth and increasing yield; when used for rice seed treatment, 0.006~0.01mg/L solution is used for soaking seeds; early rice soaking for 48h, mid-season and late rice soaking for 12h, which can promote rice germination, cultivate strong seedlings, and enhance the stress resistance of seedlings; it can mature 3~5d earlier and increase yield by about 10% on average.
5. Uniconazole
Use 50~150mg/L Uniconazole solution to soak rice seeds for 12h. After soaking, it can effectively reduce the height of seedlings, promote tillering time 5d earlier, increase the number of tillers by 5/plant, and significantly promote the growth of the root system, greatly enhance the absorption capacity of the root system, and increase the root system activity by 70%. By improving the quality of seedlings, the rice grain yield can be increased to a certain extent. It should be noted that when Uniconazole is used for rice seed soaking, it can be used at most once per growing season, and the same type of agent cannot be applied again during the growing season to prevent excessive control.
6. Indoleacetic Acid (IAA)·Zeatin mixture
The active ingredients of IAA·Zeatin mixture are mainly Indoleacetic Acid and Zeatin. 0.11% IAA·Zeatin mixture can promote the germination of rice seeds and accelerate the growth and development of seedlings. When using, use 10~15mL of solution containing 0.11% IAA· Zeatin mixture for every 1000kg of seeds for seed dressing.
7. Indolebutyric acid (IBA)·NAA mixture
There is 2% IBA·NAA WP in production, and the content of two active ingredients IBA·NAA is 1%. In production, 2% IBA·NAA mixture WP can be diluted 500~750 times with water, and the seeds can be soaked for 10~12h according to the drug-seed ratio (1.2~1.5):1, and then soaked in clean water until the seeds germinate and turn white, and sowed according to the normal buds.
When using 2% IBA·NAA WP, it is necessary to be careful not to increase the concentration and soaking time at will; the application effect of inferior rice seeds that have broken breasts or sprouted is not good; at the same time, it should also be noted that due to the poor stability of auxin plant growth regulators, when using 2% IBA·NAA WP for rice seed treatment, it is necessary to prepare and use it immediately, and it is not advisable to use the solution that has been prepared for too long.
8. Gibberellic Acid
After the seeds are selected, 10~50mg/L of Gibberellic Acid solution with active ingredients is used. Soaking the seeds for 24 hours can improve the germination rate of rice and make the germination uniform.
Gibberellic Acid can also be used to promote the germination of regenerated rice. Usage method:
The first method is to apply it twice. The first time is to apply it on the day of harvesting the first-season rice. Spray about 20mg/L Gibberellic Acid 50L per mu. The second time is to spray 20mg/L Gibberellic Acid 50L per mu when the heading is 20%;
Another method is to apply it about 15 days after the first-season rice has fully headed, and at the same time as the bud-promoting fertilizer, spray about 40mg/L Gibberellic Acid 50L per mu, which can promote the germination of regenerated rice, especially the germination and growth of low-node buds, so as to increase the yield of both first-season rice and regenerated rice. After applying Gibberellic Acid to regenerated rice, the germination and formation of regenerated buds can be significantly promoted, the heading is uniform and the heading time is relatively concentrated, the ineffective ingredients are reduced, the panicle structure of regenerated rice is improved, and the fruiting rate and 1000-grain weight are increased. The use of Gibberellic Acid on regenerated rice has a significant yield-increasing effect and is not limited by varieties and environment. Generally, the rice yield can be increased by about 20%.
9.Triacontanol
Soaking seeds with 1.0mg/L Triacontanol solution, soaking seeds for 48h for early rice and 24h for mid- and late rice, can promote the germination and rooting of rice seeds, which is beneficial to cultivating strong seedlings and enhancing stress resistance.
10.Brassinolide
Soaking seeds with 0.04mg/L Brassinolide solution for 24h and then washing the buds can increase the germination rate by 2% and the bud length by 9%; the fresh weight and dry weight of rice seedlings increase by about 3% and 10% respectively.
