The ripening method of bananas involves Ethephon and Ethylene. Spray 500~700ml/L Ethephon solution on 7~8 ripe bananas. After 48h, the banana fruit begins to color and soften. After 4~5d, the flesh becomes soft, sweeter, and fragrant. Bananas can be ripened by passing 0.1% Ethylene gas by volume through the ripening room. In order to avoid excessive accumulation of carbon dioxide in the ripening room, which delays the ripening process. Ventilate once every 24h for 1~2h, then add Ethylene in a sealed manner, and take out the bananas after they show the initial ripe color.
Put the bananas directly into 1000~2000mL/L Ethephon solution (prepared with 40% Ethephon aqueous solution) and soak for 1min, pick them up and dry them slightly, and place them in a closed warehouse for ripening. Ventilate them every 24h for 1~2h, and the fruits will turn green and yellow after 4~5d. When the number of bananas is small, they can be packed into a film bag, sealed and placed at a suitable room temperature for ripening. You can also use a sprayer to spray 1500~2000mL/1 of Ethephon solution on and around the baskets filled with bananas. After spraying evenly, stack them together and cover them with plastic cloth. Control the temperature and humidity to produce Ethylene. After 2 days, remove the plastic cloth. After 3 days, the bananas will turn yellow and ripe and can be sold and eaten.
