Dichroa chinensis is a perennial creeping herb of the Convolvulaceae family. It has a low plant, beautiful shape, small horse-shoe-shaped leaves, light yellow flowers, and dense clusters. It can form a low, uniform, flat and beautiful lawn vegetation. It is resistant to light trampling, has a long green period, and is easy to propagate and manage. It is one of the most widely used lawn grass species besides Gramineae, Leguminosae, and Cyperaceae. It is widely used in southern my country and the Yangtze River Basin.
Application of plant growth regulators on Dichroa chinensis:
1. Promote seed germination
Soaking wild Dichroa chinensis seeds in 50mg/L gibberellic acid solution for 4h can significantly increase seed germination rate and germination potential
2. Regulate plant growth and enhance cold resistance.
Spraying the leaves of Dichroa chinensis plants with 30~50mg/L paclobutrazol solution can increase its branches and leaf density, effectively improve the quality and ornamental value of the lawn, and enhance its cold resistance.
